*30 FOR 30 REMIX*

12/07/10
Outfit#30:

I did it!  Yes, I had one small slip up in the shopping aspect of the 30in 30, but I'm ok with that.  All in all, I'm glad I participated in Kendi's challenge.  I wore a few things in a few ways that I never would have considered in the past.  I made my peace with skinny jeans.  I learned the value of a cute belt or a colorful scarf.  And I had fun 'shopping my closet' for a month.

Tomorrow, my full closet is back at my disposal.  And, honestly?  I have no idea what to wear.  Go figure.

(sweater - New York & Co; t-shirt - J Crew; skirt - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

Outfit#29:

Only one more day to go.  To say I'm running out of creativity would be a pretty big understatement right now.  Notice how I completely forgot to accessorize this morning?

(sweater - Banana Republic; blouse - H&M; skirt - Banana Republic; shoes - Nine West)

Outfits#27 & 28:

Something comfortable for a Saturday morning at the mall, in the height of Christmas shopping season.  Brigid wanted in on the fun this time...

(sweatshirt - Michael by Michael Kors; t-shirt - J Crew; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

A Saturday night out?  That calls for something a little more Real Housewives of Atlanta, I think.

(sweater - White House Black Market; jeans - Gap; boots - DSW; necklace - Ten Thousand Villages, a 30th birthday gift from my friend Mandi...I really need to take a close-up of it, because it's a really cool necklace for a really good cause.)

12/03/10
Outfit#26:

Comfortable enough for a 2+ hour, slightly uninteresting holiday show?  Yes. Something I would have worn before the remix?  Probably not.  I wasn't really a big belt gal before this whole thing started, but I'm working on adding them to my accessory repertoire...

(sweater - Express; blouse - H&M; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

12/02/10
Outfit#25:

Black and yellow?  I kind of felt like a giant bumble bee.  But, in a good way, of course...

(sweater - J Crew; t-shirt - J Crew; skirt - H&M; shoes - Nine West)

12/01/10
Outfit#24:

Oh for all that is good...my hair is a hot mess right now.  How have I not scheduled a hair cut, yet?

(sweater - Banana Republic; dress - Banana Republic; necklace - New York & Co; boots - DSW)

11/30/10
Outfit#23:

I look thrilled here, don't I?  I think my photographer was being a bit of a pain this morning...

(dress - Gap; sweater - Limited; sweater - Express; necklace - Macy's; shoes - Anne Klein)

11/29/10
Outfit#22:

The dress is cotton, the tights had static.  This was a cute outfit, but I had a time of it keeping it down where it needed to be.

(dress - Old Navy; sweater - J Crew; belt - somewhere; boots - DSW; necklace - just a little something my mom picked up for me when she was in France last summer)

11/28/10
Outfit#21:

(sweater - Banana Republic (different from yesterday's BR sweater, I swear); jeans - Gap; boots - DSW)

11/27/10
Outfit#20:

Peyton was so, so happy to see us back home...

(sweater - Banana Republic; scarf - Express; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

Outfit#19:

(sweater - Express; t-shirt - J Crew; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

11/25/10
Outfit#18:

Thanksgiving!  Brigid's outfit was so much cuter than mine...

(dress - Banana Republic; sweater - White House Black Market; boots - DSW)

11/24/10
Outfit#17:

(sweater - Express; sweater - Limited; jeans - Michael Kors; shoes - Jessica Simpson)

11/23/10
Outfit#16:

As Steve said, for someone who can only wear 30 items of clothing, I still had to pack a huge suitcase to get everything up there.  I blame the shoes, personally...

(sweater - J Crew; t-shirt - J Crew; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

11/22/10
Outfit#15:

Halfway point!!  I am enjoying the process, and all, but I'm starting to miss my other clothes.  And the lack of color in my 30 items?  Boo!  Next time I do this?  I am definitely branching out a little...

(sweater - New York & Company; sweater - Limited; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

Outfit#14:

(sweater - Gap; t-shirt - J Crew; jeans - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

11/20/10
Outfit#13:

Layers for traveling from 70 degree weather to not 70 degree weather?  Check!  Comfortable tennis shoes for running quickly in and out of disgusting gas station bathrooms?  Check!  Loose jeans for hours of sitting in the car?  Check!

Indiana?  Here I come!

(jeans - Michael Kors; sweater - Banana Republic; sweatshirt - Michael Kors; shoes - Converse; scarf - Lands End Canvas; bracelet - Banana Republic)

11/19/10
Outfit#12:

(jeans - Gap; sweater - J Crew; t-shirt - J Crew; shoes - Jessica Simpson; and a belt from who knows where...)

Outfit#10:

Loved this outfit...it was so ridiculously comfortable, but I didn't feel frumpy.  That's a good day, in my opinion.

(dress - Banana Republic; sweater - Gap; boots - DSW, necklace - Express, maybe?)

11/16/10
Outfit#9:

Both my posing and my hair are getting significantly worse.  I am LONG overdue for a haircut!

(skirt - Banana Republic; sweater - J Crew; blouse - H&M; shoes - Nine West)

11/15/10
Outfit#8:

Love this dress, love this sweater, but I'm starting to notice that I wear way too much black and gray in my life.  I threw in the purple flower pin at the last minute to try to brighten things up, and I kind of liked it.  Maybe I will start making good use of the drawer full of pins I have now...

(dress- Gap; sweater - White House Black Market; boots - DSW, flower pin - once again, I don't remember...)

11/14/10
Outfit#7:

(jeans - Gap; sweater - Banana Republic; boots - DSW; necklace - some beach shop in Florida)

11/13/10
Outfit#6:

Again, my weekend uniform of jeans and a t-shirt makes an appearance.  With temperatures in the 70s in Georgia right now, this is about all I can handle.  I added a cami for the 2nd time in my remix adventure (green this time), which I've decided to rationalize by telling myself that tank tops are like belts to me.  It's an accessory to, not a core element of, the outfit.  I may be full of it, but I'm going with my logic, anyway.

Steve made me pose in front of the Christmas tree that I spent the day putting up, just to prove how crazy I am.  But you already knew that, didn't you?

(jeans - Gap;t-shirt - J Crew; shoes - Jessica Simpson; no jewelry today because Brigid just pulls it off, anyway...)

11/12/10
Outfit#5:

Fridays are my days home with Brigid, so comfy and casual is a must.  Jeans and a t-shirt?  Check!  Steve's been the photographer responsible for my last couple of pictures, and he's apparently getting tired of the hands-on-the-hips pose I've been using (and let's be honest, I'm a little tired of it, too, but I lack the supermodel gene to come up with anything more creative...), so he's just started snapping pictures without my permission.  This is what you get when that happens...

(jeans - Michael Kors; t-shirt - J Crew; sweater - Land's End; shoes - Jessica Simpson; belt - don't remember; bracelet - my mom found it at an estate sale and had it for sale in her antique shop when I expressed interest in maybe having it for myself...it was mine shortly thereafter.  My mom is awesome.)

11/11/10
Outfit#4:

Love, love, love this skirt!  I may have cheated a little, by adding a cami under my sweater, but I consider that more of an undergarment, and less of an official '30' item, and besides, it was necessary.  Cleavage at the office is never really a good idea.

(skirt - H&M; top - Limited; necklace - Kohl's)

11/10/10
Outfit#3:

Ehhh...I'm not too high on this outfit.  Oh well, better luck tomorrow!

(sweater - Banana Republic; shoes - Anne Klein; scarf - Express; pants - um, somewhere?)

11/9/10
Outfit#2:

I'm still working on the picture formats...I'm not really sure why these pictures aren't turning out the way I want them to, but hopefully I'll have it all worked out at the end of my 30 days.  Anyway, I loved this outfit, and I have no idea why I never thought to put these items together before.  It's not a groundbreaking outfit or anything, but it's still not a combination I'd ever considered in the past.
(sweater - Express; blouse - H&M; skirt - Gap; shoes - Nine West)

11/8/10
Outfit #1:

Please ignore the dusty mirror, the messy closet background, and the slightly blurry photo, as I'm new at this whole daily photograph of myself kind of thing.  I will be enlisting Steve's help on future photos, but I was running late this morning, and he spent the evening out watching Monday Night Football with some friends (because he needed moral support while watching the Bengals lose, maybe?), so I was on my own.

(sweater - Banana Republic; dress - Old Navy; boots - DSW)

11/7/10

My 30 items:

5 pairs of pants - 4 pairs of jeans and one pair of black pants for work.

3 skirts - this number would be higher if it wasn't winter, and if I didn't have to consider the fact that I will be spending a week up in Indiana for Thanksgiving...

11 tops - 2 t-shirts, 1 blouse, 1 short sleeve sweater, 3 regular sweaters, 4 cardigans.  I am definitely a cardigan kind of girl.

2 jacket type things - By jacket types, I mean a jacket and another sweater that I threw in as my 30th item at the last minute.

3 dresses - I've already got some good remix ideas in mind for these.  That dress on the left is actually a maroon color...I took these pictures on my iPhone because my other camera was missing when I was trying to get these pictures ready.

6 pairs of shoes- 2 pairs of boots, 2 pairs of heels, 2 pairs of flats.  Notice the lack of any type of cold weather footwear here...I really hope it's not snowing in Indiana over Thanksgiving.

30 items, 30 days, 30 outfits.  Wish me luck!
