Santa came to visit us this weekend, since we're heading up to Indiana on Thursday for Christmas, and he wanted to make sure that he visited Brigid before we left. And he also wanted to make sure he came overnight, because some of us think that half of the fun of Christmas is getting up at the crack of dawn to open presents, instead of opening them on Christmas Eve so everyone can sleep in on Christmas morning.

(You know who you are...)

So, since I have to work Monday-Wednesday this week, and Steve is working Monday-Tuesday, and we're leaving at the earliest possible time we can leave on Thursday, Santa knew that Sunday morning was really the only day that would work for us. So, Brigid woke up to presents this weekend.

And she loved it, of course.

And it was ridiculously adorable.

But, you're going to have to take my word for it...because guess who has two thumbs and didn't even THINK to take pictures of her daughter opening Christmas presents this year?

This guy!

We did get video, which is nice for me, but not so nice for anyone else who might want to see this event documented, as I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to upload that kind of video here.

Lucky for me, though, (and really, really lucky for Brigid, who is a BIG fan of this whole present thing...) we will have approximately 125 other present opening opportunities for the kid this holiday season, so even I can't screw up documenting this event entirely.

I hope...

  1. OH man! I didn't take pictures last year and this is reminding me to DO IT this year! Now, take pictures on Christmas. Do it, do it, do it!

    a little bit of this

  2. Well, I am very glad you forgot because this will serve as my reminder to make sure I remember. :) And I demand to see pictures of another one of her 125 present opening opportunities.

Leave a comment, if you'd like...I'd love to hear from you!
