Weekend Wrap-Up

Steve (laughing to our friend Jim as we were leaving Augusta National on Sunday evening): Tara looks exhausted.
Me: WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR TWELVE HOURS!!! IN 90 DEGREE HEAT!!! Of COURSE I'm exhausted.

You know what, though? It was totally worth it.

----------------------------------------
I had my first experience with changing a dirty-dirty swim diaper on Saturday afternoon. We went to lunch with Steve's aunt and uncle, who were visiting from Cincinnati, and Brigid wanted so much to get in the fountain outside of the restaurant that the only way we were able to get her in the car was to promise her we'd pull out the baby pool when we got home. So Steve pulled it out, filled it up, and left to run some errands. About twenty minutes later, I noticed Brigid was doing some very quiet squatting off to the side of the pool.

It was disgusting, and Steve owes me about seventeen dirty diaper changes in a row as payback.
----------------------------------------

Brigid has her 18-month well child check-up this morning.

She's still not really talking.

Good times.

  1. Dirty swim diapers are the worst!

I looked for you Sunday. =)

Don't worry about B's talking... It will come. Some babies wait to talk and then all of a sudden, they start having perfect conversations. Maybe she's just waiting till she's perfect at it. =)

  2. EWWWW. :) Been there, girl!!!

B is going to be talking so much you won't know what to do with her! I wouldn't be concerned in the least.

Can't wait to hear how her check-up goes!!

  3. Oh dear, the poop. Woman, I have some serious poop stories I could share with you. But I won't do that here.

It's okay to be worried about her not talking. You're her mom and it's okay to worry a little. But please, please don't think there's something seriously wrong until the doctor tells you to be concerned. You don't need to give yourself any stress.
